You should consider a home cinema if:
- You enjoy the big screen experience
- You are looking for immersive soundscapes, improved realism and punchy effects
- You want a comfortable environment to enjoy films, with good acoustics and no glare
We believe that a home-cinema should be an immersive environment where you can enjoy the movie in all it's splendour without distraction. Video, audio and control should come together to provide a special experience.
Surround Sound Systems
A properly designed and configured surround-sound system is what makes a home-cinema truly immersive. We design sound systems to accurately reproduce the recorded material within a natural and realistic soundscape. We specify from a huge variety of speakers and amplifiers, processors or av receivers and will always discuss your preferences in terms of budget, output and tonal character.
Projectors & Projection Screens
We can install fixed or motorised screens of any size or shape you can imagine (we'd recommend sticking to rectangles for most purposes, though!), with or without tensioning and masking systems. There are a number of manufacturers producing projectors suitable for home cinema use and we can recommend a projector for pretty much any budget.
Large Format Displays - Plasma/LCD Monitors
Projectors are no longer the only option for large displays - plasma and LCD monitors are now available up to 152" diagonal in a single panel! The benefits of using a display panel over a projector are mostly seen in multi-purpose rooms where ambient light is an issue and on-board boats and yauchts where various elements of motion make projectors unwatchable.
Playback - DVD, BluRay, Libraries and Media Servers
BluRays store/play movies at Full HD resolution, offering much greater detail and clarity than DVDs. Players start at under £100, with the highest quality devices at £2500 or more.
Media servers can store hundreds (potentially thousands) of movies and songs in a central location and allow playback not only in your home cinema but also any other room equipped with a player.
