The Mad Museum, Stratford-upon-Avon
The Mad Museum is a gallery of kinetic art in Stratford-upon-Avon. We were asked to install a projector and screen for video-based exhibits. The piece shown in these photos is a clock produced by a team working day and night to create the numbers from timber!
TV/Media Room, Lancashire
A recently completed three day project to install cabling and bracketry for a Pioneer plasma display and Kef surround sound speakers. Cabling was run in safe zones through coving and in dot'n'dab voids, resulting in minimal disruption and a much reduced bill from the decorator! At the av rack location, all cabling was terminated with modular plates as requested.
The Orange Tree, Stoke on Trent
Gear 7 designed a high-quality sound system for the exciting redevelopment of The Orange Tree Bar and Grill in Stoke on Trent. The system is designed to offer high-quality background level music and thus uses speakers by Monitor Audio and Sonance throughout. A BSS SoundWeb processor provides pristine signal processing and includes features such as a 'leveller', which ensure that areas like the patio and rest rooms and always at an even and appropriate volume. A Crestron TPCS touchscreen and the Crestron App provide control of volume in each zone to the floor staff.
Seaside Home, West Sussex
This project began as a request to supply an in-wall iPad dock and has since grown to include two surround sound systems, multiroom audio and an RTI control system. Multi-room sound is provided by Nuvo with Current Audio ceiling speakers. Music can be played from an on-wall iPod, the main TV audio or from a Mac Mini running iTunes. The RTI iPad app allows integrated control of the multi-room audio and iTunes song selection.
Astbury Hall Golf Course
We were recently asked to install a sound system at the fantastic Astbury Hall golf course in Shropshire. The management wished to begin using the bar and lounge for club events and private functions and felt that a permanent sound system was necessary.
Barn Conversion, Cotswolds (Gloucestershire)
This project was performed in collaboration with Breese and Earle Electrical Services of Aston, Birmingham. The building had originally been first-fixed for component video distribution and some audio by the outgoing developer. Our client placed greater emphasis on music and this combined with the looming analogue sunset led us to perform and complete re-wire.
A complete renovation with a large extension, this project included Control4 multi-room music, HD video distribution, Avigilon CCTV and Heatmiser multi-zone heating. The family room was kitted out with an Artcoustic Multi SL soundbar and Panel Sub Micro with a Yamaha Aventage receiver.
We updated the audio visual systems in two meeting rooms for Instarmac, based in Tamworth. The system allows the two rooms to be operated seperately or linked, from Crestron keypads or an iPad. A flush mount projector screen was installed, along with a 55" NEC monitor and ceiling speakers in each room. Custom electrical panels interface with the building wiring to automate the lighting.
